Why the sizes are already set
The printed code should be at least one-tenth of the distance a guest scans from. That is why these four layouts use 3, 4, 5 and 12 cm codes — the mini card lives in a hand, the lobby sign is read from a couple of steps away. Printing a code smaller than the layout suggests is the most common reason it fails.
Two rules before you print
- Print at 100%. “Fit to page” shrinks the card and the code with it — the size rule breaks silently.
- Matte paper beats glossy. A glossy sheet reflects ceiling lights straight into the camera.
